Mrs. Sylvia OBryant entered the Masters joy on Saturday, June 18, 1988. She was born on August 10, 1900 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Wigfall on North Augusta, South Carolina.
She was converted and baptized at the Old Hammond Grove Baptist Church, North Augusta, S.C. under the pastorage of the late Rev. A. W. Vincent. After mov ing to Augusta, she united with the Thankful Baptist Church under the pastorage of Rev. N. T. Young, Sr..
She was married to Mr. George Paschal, who preceeded her in death. In 1955i she married Mr. Brooks OBryant, whc also proceeded her in death.
In 1963, Mrs. OBryant became Chief of the Ladies Ushers Board. In this office she served with dignity and devotion. Under her leadership, the board con tinued to grow in membership, contributed financially to the improvement of the church, and made all mem bers and visitors feel welcomed to our services.
Those who will miss her most arei one son, E-6 Sylvester Paschal, U. S. Navy, one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Deborah Paschall, three grandchildren, Tameka, Sylvester, Jr., and LeEverett Paschal all of Phila delphia, Pa., one uncle, Mr. Tom Wigfall, Belvedere, S. C., a devoted cousin, Mr. Johnny OBryant, a good neighbor, Mrs. Florence McHellen, members of the Usher Board of Thankful Church, other relatives and friends.
Soldier of Christ, well done; Praise be thy new employ; And, while eternal ages run, Rest in thy Saviors joy.
