On June 21, 1995, at 6:30 a.m., God sent an angel to call Mrs. Roxie Blackwell Norman to her heavenly home. She was born on April 15, 1904, in Lincoln County, Georgia to the late Dave and Lucy Blackwell. At an early age she was converted and baptized into the New Tabernacle Baptist Church. She served as Sunday School teacher, choir member, President of the Mother Board and in all other capacities whenever and wherever she was needed. She worked untiringly as a member of the Freewill Singing Convention, Freewill Sunday School andB.T.U. Convention and the Freewill Association. She supported her church faithfully until her death.
In January, 1922, Roxie Blackwell united in marriage to the late Mr. Isaac Norman, Sr. This union was blessed with 10 children. Two preceded her in death: Mr. Mac Neal Norman and Mr. Robert Lewis (Bobby) Norman.
She leaves to cherish her memories: two daughters, Mrs. Ozzie B. Walton, Lincolnton, Ga., Mrs. Bertha N. Hill (James), Augusta, Georgia; six sons, Mr. Isaac Norman, Jr. (Emma Jean), Tignall, Ga., Mr. Jesse Norman and Mr. Willie Fred Norman, both of Lincolnton, Ga., Mr. Roy Norman (Sarah) and Mr. Otis Norman, both of Chicago, Illinois; two sisters, Mrs. Pauline Hawes of Chicago, 111., and Mrs. Marie Rouse of Pittsburgh, Pa.; 30 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren and eight greatgreat-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and
friends.

Master, I have fulfilled my contract, wrought by my heart and hand, not alone by my deeds shall they judge me, not alone by my deeds shall they judge me, but by the works of my hands. Master, I have done their bidding and the sun is sinking low in the west; the long, long, race is over. Master, I have earned it. REST!
Words are inadequate to express our thankfulness at this time. We are so grateful for each ones love, prayers, visits, or whatever act was done during her extended illness. We thank Godfor our sister, OzzieBea Walton, every doctor, every nurse and everyone who made sure that she had the best of care while at the hospital and at home.
Even though this is a sad time for us, it makes us happy to know that God has allowed us to be blessed with such
wonderful friends like you.
