** OBITUARY **
Dea. Willie Newsome departed this life on Tuesday, October 11, 1988 in the University Hospital. He was born in Edgefield County, South Carolina to the late Matthew and Pearl Newsome.
At an early age Deacon Newsome accepted Christ and was united with Spring Grove Baptist Church, Edgefield County, South Carolina. After moving to Augusta, Georgia, he united with the Greater Young Zion Baptist Church where he served faithfully on the Deacon Board until his passing.
Ele leaves to mourn a loving devoted wife, Mrs. Phyllis Hogan Newsome, two sons, Edward and Terry Newsome; one brother, Mr. John Newsome all of Augusta, Ga.; one uncle, Mr. Dennis Sullivan; one aunt, Mrs. Ophelia Sullivan; one brother-in-law, Mr. James Hogan, Sr.; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Mattie Newsome and Mrs. Lillian Hogan; a God daughter, Miss Felicia Mitchell; two nephews, three nieces; a very dear friend, Mrs. Mary E. Williams; and a host of other relatives and friends.
