** OBITUARY **
Mr. Bernard Vincent Neely departed from this life on Monday, April 8,1985 at the Veterans Medical Center, Downtown Division. He was born on November 20, 1919 to the late Mr. and Mrs. John W. Neely, Sr.
He received his educational training in the schools of Augusta, Georgia. At an early age, he was converted and baptized into the membership of the Thankful Baptist Church.
On January 7, 1940, he was united in Holy Matrimony to Miss Martha Phillips. This union was blessed with two children, a daughter, Brenda Delores Neely and a son, Harvey Vincent Neely.
He was a World War II veteran and at the time of his death, he was a retired Civil Service employee of Fort Gordon, Georgia. Prior to his employment at Fort Gordon, Georgia, he was employed as a pullman porter at the Railroad Company in Augusta, Georgia.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Martha Phillips Neely; one daughter, Miss Brenda Delores Neely; one son, Mr. Harvey Vincent Neely; one sister, Miss Natalie Neely; one brother, Mr. Clement Neely; cousins, Mr. Walter Wilson and Mr. Richard Wilson of Chicago, Illinois, Mrs. Mabel Jones of Bayonne, N.J., nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
