Mrs. Moore attended (Brown C hapelAM E Church in CoCum6ia, South Carolina where she was 6aptizeti at the age o f 12. In 1939 she anti ourfa th e r relocated to
Augusta, (JA, hutit a home anti started afamily. In 1947 she met the now
deceased Catholic nun, Sister M ary `W ifo rti while Sister Mary `Wtiforti, an 8lfl grade teacher at Immaculate Conception ParochialAcademy (ICA), while Sister Mary 'W ilfordwas visiting parents in the neighborhood who had school-age children anti extended an invitation to them to visit the school anti consider a religious as w e ll as an academic educationfo r their children. Our eldest sister Laura A nna w as enrolled in ICA in 1947 a n d our mom (Mrs. Moore)
6egan attending IC A Church. Stu d ied the religion and catechismf o r a year with
the resident ICA priest a n d form er missionary, Eatherjohn Sheehan a n d converted to Catholicism. Mrs. Moore was later 6aptized into the catholicfa ith
Sy Eatherjohn Sheehan. She attended IC A Churchfrom 1948 u n til it closed and
subsequently attended The Church o f the M ost Holy Erinity Roman Catholic
Church, Augusta, QA-- Mrs. Moore w orked as a renowned cosmetologist in Co lumbia, SC a n d Augusta, CjA a n d was co-business owner o f the 4-Sisters (Beauty Salon in Augusta, (JA- She had a large clientele a n d some o f who traveled long
