MARY TERESA LOUISE MIDDLETON, affectionately known as "Miss Tea", was born on January 3, 1963 in Richmond County, Georgia to the late Deacon Jack Middleton, Sr. and the late Louise Ramsey Middleton.
On Monday, January 25, 2016, Teresa made her eternal transition from life, after fighting an extended illness.
Teresa accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior and was baptized at the Historic Hosannah Missionary Baptist Church (HHMBC), Augusta Georgia under the pastorate of the late Reverend T.C. Cook. Teresa was raised in a Christian home and attended church regularly until her health began to decline. She served in her church as a "door keeper".
Teresa received her public education in Richmond County Public Schools. She was a graduate of the Academy of Richmond County (ARC) High School in the class of 1981. She also attended Savannah State College.
Teresa was employed with Richmond County Board of Education as a Paraprofessional at the Head Start Facility and at Bungalow Road Elementary. At Bungalow Road Elementary, she developed a passion for working with special need children.
Teresas love and devotion towards children led her to become a foster mother for many unaccountable children placed in Family and Children Services Foster Care. One special little boy in foster care touched her heart. His name was Omarion, aka "Omar". This union was a blessing for both of them. She adopted Omar and he became Omarion Middleton. Sadly, Omar went to be with his heavenly father on March 25, 2015.
Teresa was so much like her mother, very independent and strongwilled. Teresa was a quiet spirit, sweet, compassionate and a giving person. She will be missed by the people she loved, and, they who loved her.
Teresa was preceded in death by her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Middleton; her oldest brother, Mr. Jack D. Middleton, Jr.; and her beloved son, Omarion Middleton.

Her footprints of life will be cherished by her loved ones in their hearts forever! Teresa left behind: her sisters, Maxine (James) Harmon, Sandra Yvonne Burley, Gladys Rebecca Boyd, Jacqueline Denise Middleton, all of Augusta, GA, Joyce (Chris) Bailey of Aiken, SC and Juanita Middleton of Chesterfield, VA; brothers, Michael (Josephine) Middleton, William Henry (Kellie) Middleton and Jerod Levert Middleton, all of Augusta, GA; nephews, Federico Arevalo, Chesterfield, VA, Eric Harmon, Huntsville AL, Michael and Malcolm Middleton, Atlanta, GA, Ladon Burley, Michael Garrett, Christopher Bailey, IL, Jacques Middleton, Linwood Boyd, Jr., and Kinyon Mincey, all of Augusta, GA, Brodrick Halls, Atlanta, GA; nieces, Latonya Mechelle Travis, Letitia Williams, Donna Burley, Salaney Smith, Wychika Ellis and Kiana Boyd, all of Augusta, GA; niece, Kiana Boyd (was her heart and was with her during her darkest hours. Teresa would often say, "Kiana is the daughter she never had"); more of her nieces, Kambre Curry, Aiken, SC, Sheena Nicole Marshall, Chesterfield, VA and Erica Leverett, Omaha, NE; godsister, Sarah Covington, Augusta, GA; godsons, Cordaryl Middleton and Keshawn Hicks, both of Augusta, GA; BEST friend, Mrs. Joanne Morgan; and a host of great nieces, great nephews, foster children, cousins, other relatives, companions, care takers and loving friends, especially, "Chief".
She was close to Jasmine Middleton, Phadra Lasseter, Juanadia Martin, Bobbie Jones, Michelle Davis and Andre Brandon.
