Obituary
Mrs. Ollie Mae McGahee entered into rest on January 27, 2001 at St. Joseph Hospital in Augusta, Georgia.
She was born on December 5, 1915 to the late Alex and Matilda Scott Stallings in Barnwell, South Carolina. She was converted and baptized at an early age at the Union Branch Baptist Church in New Ellenton, South Carolina. After moving to Augusta, she became a member of the Mount Calvary Baptist Church, where she was a loyal and dedicated member of several organizations, including the Senior Mission Ministry and the December Birthmonth Fellowship Group.
Ollie was married to Mr. Robert Bonner and to that union had two children. She later married the late Mr. William McGahcc and was united until his demise.
Ollie was a member of Smooth Ashlar Prince of Peace #51 Order of Eastern Stars; C. E. Williams/Mclntyre #56 Heriones of Jericho; and Haynes Court #3 Order of Amaranth.
She is survived by two children: a devoted daughter, Clarice Bonner of Augusta, and Freddie Bonner of Marysville, California; one granddaughter, Rene Jackson of Stockton, California; one godson, Forrest McGahee, Jr. of Decatur, Georgia; one sister-inlaw, Hattie Stallings of Augusta, Georgia; one great-grandson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
