** OBITUARY **
Mrs. Maggie McCreary was the daughter of the late Louise Walker and Paul Lemon. She was born March 9, 1889 in Bamburg, South Carolina and later moved to Allendale County, South Carolina.
She was the mother of five children; three sons preceded her in death and two daughters survive.
In 1929 Mrs. McCreary moved to Augusta and joined the Macedonia Baptist Church under the pastorate of the late Rev. R. C. Calhoun. Here she served faithfully and willingly until her health failed. She served in many auxiliaries including the Deaconess Board.
This blessed, beautiful life came to an end on Tuesday, April 3 1990.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Marie Burwell, Patterson, N.J. and Mrs. Queen Esther Jones, Augusta, Ga.; nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren; son-inlaw, Mr. Robert Burwell, Patterson, N.J.; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
