Obituary
A very useful and busy life was ended Sunday, June 16, 1985, at the B.J.C. Hospital Commerce Georgia. Mr. William T. Mason Jr. was taken from this earthly world to a place of eternal rest.
Life began for Mr. Mason in Lincoln County on August 6, 1923 to the parentage of the late Rev. William Thomas Mason Sr. and Mary Fleming Mason. Preceeding him in death was one sister.
He attended the schools of Lincoln County and following his discharge from the U.S. Army he motriculated for a brief period at the Tuskeegee Institute, Tuskeegee Alabama.
He proclaimed Christ as his Lord and Savior by becoming a member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church, Lincolnton Georgia. He was affiliated with the Sardis Presbyterian Church, Jefferson Georgia where he was a member of the choir.
He resided in Charlotte, North Carolina, for 30 years. He was a retired employer of Smith Motor Line of that city. For the last 5 years he resided in Jefferson, Georgia.
He will be sadly missed in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Julius Mason Sr. He is survived by his wife Mrs. Rosa Demons Mason of Charlotte, North Carolina; three brothers, Welcome E. Mason and Alexander B. Mason, Lincolnton and Julius S. Mason, Jefferson; one aunt, Mrs. Carrie Fleming Evenston, 111.; nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, and a host of freinds.
