** OBITUARY **
Mrs. Margaret Cook Lewis, who was born to the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Cook, September 7, 1915 departed this life October 24, 1980 at 5 oclock a. m. in the St. Joseph Hospital.
She was a member of the Olivet Baptist Church which she served as a Deaconess and a faithful member until death.
She was an employee of the Richmond County Board of Education for fourteen (14) years. She was married to the late Mr. Chance Lewis and was blessed with ten children.
She leaves to mourn, five daughters, Mrs. Juanita McFatten, Mrs. Bessie Burton, Mrs. Carol Hall and Mrs. Mattie Wilson of Augusta, Mrs. Marie Pritchett, Dayton, Ohio; five sons, Mr. Chance Lewis Jr., Mr. William Lewis of Augusta, Mr. Thomas Lewis, Mr. James Lewis of New York and Mr. Hardy Lewis of Texas; one sister, Mrs. Marie Hunter; one brother, Rev. T. C. Cook; five daughters-in-law, Mrs. Gwendolyn Lewis, Mrs. Betty Lewis, Mrs. Betty Jean Lewis, Mrs. Carol Lewis, Mrs. Dorothy Lewis; five sons-in-law, Mr. Marvin Hall, Mr. Fred Burton, Mr. Richard McFatten, Mr. Albert Pritchett, Mr. Johnnie Wilson; thirty-one grandchildren and four great grands.
