On Tuesday, August 4,2015, an inevitable event called death touched the life of MS. JANET MARIA LEE-GREENE.
Janet was born February 11, 1956 in St. Louis, Missouri. She was the daughter of Mrs. Edna Lee and the late Walter Lee. She graduated in 1980 from Park College in Kansas City, Missouri with a BA degree in Business Management. Being a military wife Janet traveled to different states and countries, but made her home in Augusta, Georgia where they raised two children. She worked for Friedman Public Library until she retired.
Janet was loved by all who knew her. She loved her children and showed much love to others. Janet was a giver and she helped all she could. "She was the person that remembered you on every holiday and made you feel special on your birthday."
She leaves to cherish her fond memories: her husband, Mr. Lorenzo Greene; daughter, Mrs. Janina (Jamario) Daniel of Ft. Gordon, GA; son, Mr. Loren Greene of Augusta, GA; mother, Edna Lee of St. Louis, MO; sister, Venice Edgerson of St. Louis, MO; brothers, Vincent Lee, Reico (Judy) Lee, Calvin Lee Hopkins, Alvin Lee Hopkins, all of St. Louis, MO and Michael (Mary) Lee of Waldo, MD; three grandchildren, Jordyn Daniel, Jordan Daniel and Jayce Daniel, all of Augusta, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Death is nothing at all. I have only slipped away into the next room. I am I, and you are you. Whatever we were to each other that we still are. Call me by my old familiar name, speak to me in the easy way which you always used. Put no difference in your tone, wear noforced air o f solemnity or sorrow. Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes we enjoyed together. Play, smile, think o f me and ifyou want to, pray for me. Let my name be ever the household word that it always was, let it be spoken without effect, without the trace o f a shadow on it. Life means all that it ever meant. It is the same as it ever was; There is unbroken continuity. Why should I be out o f mind because I am out o f sight? I am waitingfor you, for an interval, somewhere very near, just around the corner. All is well. - Your Loving Family
The Family wishes to express our deepest appreciation to all of you for your acts of kindness, through prayers, visitation, calls, food, and flowers. We are especially thankful to you who have comforted, inspired and helped us bear our sorrow. May God bless each of you?
