Brother Edward Palmer Lee, Jr. was the son of the late Edward and Nettie Lee, Sr. He was born on August 22,1921 in Xenia, Ohio. He departed th is life on January 22, 2003.
Bro. Lee confessed Christ a t an early age and was baptized a t Zion B a p tist Church in Xenia, Ohio. Lee made his earthly home in Augusta, Georgia in the early seventies. A fte r moving to Augusta, Lee united with Tabernacle B a p tist Church and in 2001 he joined the Beulah Grove B aptist Church where he served faithfully until his death.
Bro. Lee was educated a t East Lincoln High School in Xenia, Ohio and attended Wilberforce College in Wilberforce, Ohio. Bro. Lee was united in holy matrimony to Ruby M. Rountree on September 20,1931.
Bro. Lee was a th irty-fo u r year Mason.
Bro. Lee served his county for four year in the U. S. Military and retired from the Civil Service.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories his loving and devoted wife Ruby Rountree-Lee, three children, Deborah M. Phoenix, Beaufort, SC, Patricia (Kenneth) Wallace, Woodbridge, VA and Edward Palmer

(Gloria) Lee, III, Orlando, EL; eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren and special nephews, Ronnie Watson, Theodore (Ted) Watson, Jr., Claude Jones and Lee Ward; brothers-in-law and sistersin-law, Willie (Dr. Carol) Rountree, John Rountree, Harold Rountree, Bobbie (Kenneth) Laughinghouse, Freeman (Ann) Rountree and Betty Rountree; a loving mother-in-law, Ethel Rountree; five uncles-in-law; 'seven aunts-in-law and a host of other relatives and friends.

My prayers have all been answered. I finally arrived. The healing th at had been delayed has now been realized.

The flowers you sent that day, the cards you mailed along the way, the service you stopped by to render, the gift you brought with thoughts so tender and the prayers you said which played a part in easing the pain th at was in our hearts. Each helped us to find th at strength to bear, the loss of the one we held so dear. It was to us a great comfort indeed to see you in the time of sorrow and need. So from our hearts which you tried to help mend, we thank you sincerely again and again for being such wonderful friends.
