She was born Sara Rose Stone on the 19th o f November 1945 to the late Eddie and Mary Stone in Richmond County, G A She departed this life Friday, March 29, 1996 at the University Hospital, Augusta, G A
Sara was baptized at an early age at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Augusta, G A She was later united in marriage to Mr. James Edward Latimore. This union was blessed with one daughter, Ms. Inger M. Smith o f Augusta and two sons, James E. Latimore, Jr., o f Charleston, S.C., and Antonio F. Latimore o f Augusta.
Also left to cherish her memory are three brothers, Frank Stone and James Stone, both o f Augusta, and Frederick Stone, Atlanta, GA; one sister, Mary S. Rhaney, Augusta; one daughter-in-law, Tammy S. Latimore, Charleston, S.C.; one brother-in-law, W illie J. Rhaney, Augusta; two sisters-in-law, Linda J. Stone, Augusta and Amenia Stone, Atlanta, GA; one godson, Byron V. Overton, Wiesbaden, Germany; one lovingly adopted son, Robert Thomas; ten grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends, including three devoted friends, Ella Overton, Beatrice Bennett, and William "Buck" Miller.
A Loving and Devoted Mother
Ms. Latimore was an exemplary mother. She devoted her life to supporting her family and rearing her children and grandchildren. She imparted wisdom and knowledge, along with love and compassion, to all who knew her.
