I Truly Miss You My Friend

Our relationship was very special

Two spirits from different molds:

You,., gentle like a butterfly

Me... solid like a rock

And you accepted me as a friend

If ever I was too hard or too bold The softness in your words spoken sincerely

Made me calm and more willing to listen

More than a sister, you were always kind to me ;

When my tears have stopped flowing

And the aching in my heart settles down

I'll repeat it over and over again:

I truly miss you my good friend

I don't have you around anymore

Only fond memories of our friendship

This I'll always treasure.

A Precious One v
A precious one from us has gone, A voice we love is stilled, , A place is vacant in our home Which never can be filled.
And after a lonely heartache And many a silent tear, But always a beautiful memory Of one we love so dear

The Obituary
um ^--i/ V
Ruth Latimer, the daughter of the late John and Hattie Sanford was born September 27, 1928 in Macon, Georgia.
After a brief illness on Friday, February 14, 2003 the Lord called to Ruth and said, "Suffer no more my child, come home and rest."
Ruth was educated in the Georgia School System. After marrying the late Harvey Latimer, they moved to Detroit, Michigan. To this union two children were born. Ruth loved spending time with her family and friends. Ruth found a home at Central Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Clayton Smith Sr. Sister Latimer loved and adored her church family. Sister Latimer was a member of the church's choir, President of the Bereavement Committee and a faithful member to the 52's Club. Ruth leaves to cherish her memory: one son, Sheldon Latimer; a loving daughter, Brenda Moody; son-in-law, Maurice Moody; three devoted sisters, Louise Corker of Augusta, GA, Nora Gordon of Philadelphia, PA and Hattie Ballard of Miami, Florida; brother-in-law, Richard Ballard; two sisters-in-law, Annie Marie Hanson (Jesse) of Augusta, GA and Amy Sanford of Philadelphia, PA; three adopted sisters, Jean Norman, Irene Dotson and Arrie Martin; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; three step-grandchildren, Leon Moody, Toni Smith (Jason) and Clifton Phillips (Anya).
God said you were getting weary so He did what He thought best, He came and stood beside you and whispered, "Come and rest."
You bade no one a last farewell, not even a good-bye, You were gone before we knew it and only God knows why.
- Sheldon
