Celebrating the life of Mary Frances Harris Larcheveaux, July 10, 1950-January 8, 2013, Saturday, January 19, 2013, 11:00 a.m., Gethsemane Baptist Church, 1485 Wrightsboro Road, Augusta, Georgia, Reverend Dr. Ronald Strong, pastor

MARY FRANCES HARRIS LARCHEVEAUX, born July 10, 1950 in Augusta, Georgia entered into eternal rest on January 8, 2013. She was the second child born to the late Reverend Archie H. and Frances Harris. She was baptized at Olivet Baptist Church in Augusta, Georgia at an early age.
Mary was educated in Richmond County Schools and attended Immaculate Conception Academy and was a graduate o f T. W. Josey High School Class of 1968. She matriculated to Savannah State University, where she received her bachelor's degree in sociology. Following graduation, she was employed by the Richmond County Department o f Family and Children Services, where she retired with thirty years o f service. Mary's love and sincere concern for children led to her continued involvement with child placement programs beyond retirement.
Mary's marriage to her soul mate, Lionel Larcheveaux, brought to her the gift and love of a blended family of two daughters, Ardean Shellyne Larcheveaux and Amelia S. Larcheveaux, both of Austell, Georgia; two sons, Andrew D. Larcheveaux of Austell, Georgia and Aubrey E. Larcheveaux o f Montgomery, Alabama; grandchildren; two sisters, Dianne (David) Walker o f Augusta, Georgia and Patricia Harris McElvy o f Augusta, Georgia; brother, Archie H. Harris, Jr. of Woodbridge, Virginia; dearly loved friend, Queenie Jones "Sister" o f Aiken, South Carolina; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

"Love one another as I have loved you" May seem impossible to do,
But i f you will try to trust and believe, Great are the joys that you will receive.
For love makes us patient, understanding, and kind, And we judge with our hearts and not with our minds. For as soon as love entered the heart's open door, The faults we once saw are not there anymore. And the things that seem wrong
begin to look right When viewed in the softness
o f love's gentle light. For love works in ways that are wondrous and strange, And there is nothing in life that love cannot change. And all that God promised will someday come true When you love one another the way He loved you.
