J fr . Olivia Collins King, entered Into Eternal rest Thursday, January 2 4 ,2 0 0 3 , a t Plair's Fereonal Care Home, 2016 S c o tt Road, Augusta, Georgia.
Mrs. King was the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Arthur and Annie Battle Collins. She was the oldest of eight children, born on November 4, 1903 in Taliaferro County, Crawfordville, Georgia.
Her firs t education was in Taliaferro County, from there she attended Nellieville School in Richmond County and graduated form the 3 th grade with a two (2) year scholarship to Haines Normal and industrial School in Richmond County. In her senior year something happened beyond her control and being late entering, her parents sent her to Walker B a p tist Institute, there she graduated. She also did undergraduate studies a t Savannah S ta te College.
She was married to a farmer, Mr. Claude King. She was a good wife and was loved by all who knew her.
She ta u g h t school for many years in Taliaferro County and later retired because of her condition she could not correct. She did some work for a private family for a while. She joined Beulah Grove B aptist Church in 1953 under Rev. B. I. Vernon. She was active in the Senior Missionary Society, B.T.U., Sunday School, visiting the sick and shut in and witnessing to lost souls. Mrs. King loved the Lord, the Word, her Church and her Pastors.
She leaves to mourn her passing, a devoted niece, Mrs. Helen King S cott, Orangeburg, SC; a devoted cousin, Mrs. B etty Parks Bussey, Augusta, GA; two of her devoted and dear friends, Mrs. Florence Marisand Mrs. Mary Beard, Augusta, G K ^ n d ^ host of other nieces and nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, many cousins, friends and church family, whom she loved very dearly.

There is really nothing we need to know or even try to understand.
If we refuse to be discouraged and tru s t God's guiding hands.
So take heart and meet each minute with faith in God's great love, aware th a t everyday of life is controlled by God above,
and never dread tomorrow of what the future brings. J u s t pray for strength and courage
and never grow discouraged be patient and ju s t wait, "For God never comes too early and never comes too late!"
