Crossing The Bar
Sunset and evening star. A n d one clear call for me! A n d may there be no moaning o f the bar,
When I put out to sea. But such a tide as moving seems asleep
Too fu ll for sound and foam. When that which drew from out the boundless deep
Turns again home. Twilight and evening bell. A n d after that the dark! A n d may there be no sadness o f farewell,
W hen I embark. For though from out our bourne o f Time and Place
The flood may bear me far I hope to see by Pilot face to face
When I have crossed the bar.
