One thing I have desired of the Lord, that I will seek after that: I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
Mrs. Beatrice Kennedy quietly and peacefully slept away Saturday morning, June 5, 1982 at the University Hospital. .
She was the daughter of the late Henry and Racheal (White) Mickens and was a native of McDuffie County, Georgia.
At an early age of nine, Beatrice converted and was baptized at .the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Lincolnton, Georgia.
On March 24, 1936, Beatrice married Dennis F. Kennedy where they moved their residence to Augusta, Georgia. She united with the Piney Grove Baptist Church in September 1959. She also maintained a close relationship with her husbands church, White Rock Baptist Church, Lincolnton, Georgia, even after his death in April, 1973.
She was a faithful member of the Deaconness Board, Club No. 1, treasurer of the Senior Choir and Superintendent and" Teacher of the Sunday School where she was an active member of the Sunday School Union. She also took great pride in setting up the Communion table and was very active in the Womens Mission.
Truly she was a servant of God and she will be truly missed by everyone who knew her.

"IVE DONE MY WORK"

Ive done my work. I sung my song

Ive done some good. Ive done some wrong

I shall go where I belong

The Lord has willed it so.

"

The way to him, I know. He knows my soul so weak and blind. So full of fear and mortal mind And he will lead and I shall find. The way to him I know. He guides my steps, and He knows best. He will not harm where he is blest. And so goodnight, Ill take my rest, Where sweet Wild Roses grow.
