A Time To Be Born . . .
Marie Fryer Keller was born October 5, 1923, to the late Clarence and Gussie L. Fryer in Burke County, Georgia.
A Time To Live ...
Sister Keller received her primary and secondary educations from the Burke County School System (Coastal Elementary School and Waynesboro High School).
She retired from the Town Tavern Restaurant after many years of employment. Following retirement, Sister Keller stayed active by volunteering her services at local hospitals. In 1996, she volunteered at the Augusta V.A. Medical Center. Later, in 1997, she served in the Senior Citizens Council Foster Grandparent Program. As "Granny Marie," she provided comfort and joy to the pediatric patients at the Medical College of Georgias Childrens Medical Center.
A Time To Serve . . .
As a child, she was converted and baptized at the Palmer Grove Baptist Church, McBean, Georgia. On October 4, 1970, she united with the Morning Star Baptist Church in Augusta, Geor gia, where she served untiringly and faithfully until her death. Here she served as President of the Senior Choir, was a Sunday School and Bible Study Teacher and a member of the Mission Board.
A Time To Die ...
With outstretched arms to receive His own, God called to rest, Sister Marie Fryer Keller, during the early morning hours of December 7, 2004, at Doctors Hospital, Augusta, Georgia.
She leaves memories that will forever be cherished in the hearts of her loving and devoted family and friends: her brother, Willie (Mozella) Fryer, Augusta, Georgia; three sisters, Annie F. Briggs and Thelma Turner, both of Savannah, Georgia and Cleo Fryer, Miami, Florida; aunt, Cleo L. Sanders, Augusta, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

. "Ill Be Seeing You"

I am at rest, so dont cry

It will be easier as time goes by,

Ive done my best to live a good life

For / knew if I did, I could be with Christ.

..-..

As my body lies here , its only a shell

God has called me home and my job Ive done well.

Now Im happy and very content

For the things Ive done wrong, I repent.

You know and I know that its hard on earth

So you should not cry at death, but at birth.

I have no worries , pains or fears

Because Im with God, so dry your tears.

-

I love you all and this is what I want you to do

Put God first in your lije and Ill be seeing you.
