Mrs. Patricia Evans Kearney
On February 21, 1978 at 8:30 p. m. an angel came to the University Hospital and sealed the lips of one of his servants.
She was born December 15, 1928 in Augusta, Ga., to Mrs. Freddie and the late Mr. Sam Evans. She was converted and bap tized at the Gospel Water Branch Church by the late Rev. S. A. Jennings in the month of August, 1939. She served faithfully as the Secretary of the Building Fund Committee. She was a good friend to all until death.
She was a retired nurse from the V. A. Hospital of Buffa lo, N. Y.
She was united in marriage to Mr. Lake Kearney. To this union two children were born Mr. Martin H. Kearney of Buffalo, N. Y., and Mrs. Marsha Kearney Heard of Evans, Georgia.
She leaves to mourn her mother, Mrs. Freddie Evans; her son and daughter; one brother, Mr. John M. Evans of L. A., Calif.; one paternal aunt, Mrs. Mamie Philpot of Evans, Ga.; one paternal uncle, Mr. D. W. Evans of Morgan ton, N. C.; two grand children, Steven A. Heard and Stephenie A. Heard both of Evans, Ga.; one son-in-law, Mr. Roger Heard; one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Gloria Kearney of Buffalo, N. Y.; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Rose A. Evans of L. A., Calif.; one grandmother, Lena Smalley and a host of aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; cousins and friends.
Another soldier gone to get her great reward.
Many battles fought, Many victories won. Now shes gone to God.
