Mrs.Queen `EstherJones, departed this life on March
10, 2006, at Windermere Nursing Home in Augusta, Georgia. She was born August 24, 1913, in Kline, South Carolina to a mother, Maggie McCreary, that preceded her in death. At an early age, the family moved to Augusta, Georgia from South Carolina.
Queen met and married Sylvester Jones, Sr. in 1930. There were four children born that union of which two preceded her in death. She joined and was baptized at Galilee Missionary Bap tist Church, where she was a faithful members until her illness. She served in various positions in her Master's service.
She is survived by: her two oldest children; a son and daugh ter; eleven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; god son, Kelvin Jackson; a very dear friend, Mrs. Irene O'Bryant; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
