To Our Mother and grandmother,
Reflections
(By Rffhert James Ryan
I sometimes Hookjnto my mothers eyes,
And witness past andpresent meeting;
Apprehension for the unseen future;
And sorrow for ad things fleeting.
In oldphotographs I have seen
A young miss in fashion of the day.
How clear the 6eauty of your youth,
Eyes smiling in memories now farceway.
A lifetime qflbve-fiQeddeeds
I glimpse now in a wed of tears,
Andsee 6eauty set in each line of care
'That has formedover each of my years.
5Vo 6eauty of youth is lost for you,
(But has grown over all of your time.
Come, see in my eyes how you are today,
0 6eautifuC mother of mine
We LoveYou,
Your Children
