W illie M ae R eason Joh n son , was Lorn on June 8, 1905, to the late Minnie Sm ith and Willie Reason, in Burke County, Georgia, and died OctoLer 12, 2 0 0 5 at Burke Medical Center, Waynesboro, Georgia.
W illie M ae Lecame a Christian at a very young age and joined the Forest Hill Baptist Church in Keysville, Georgia. Ske became a faithful servant and served until her health failed. She sang in the Senior Choir and worked tirelessly in [lie Willing Workers Cluli No. 2. Ske was a member of Golden Star Court # 2 2 3 , Heroines of Jericho.
In the year of our Lord, nineteen hundred and twentyseven, she married her love, the late Jasper Johnson, Sr. To this union, seven children were born. She leaves to cherish her memories: two daughters; Mamie Johnson, Bridgeport, Ct. and Gladys Johnson Waynesboro, GA: Five sons: Jasper (Martha) Johnson Atlanta, Ga.; James Johnson, Augusta, Ga.; Roosevelt (Thelma) Johnson, Franklin, G a.; Willie Jay (Letha) Johnson, Newark, N J; David (June) Johnson, Douglasville, Ga.: 2 8 Grandchildren, 62 Great Grandchildren, 19 Great Great Grandchildren; and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends.

She respected the value and worth of money and it respected her. She loved being a homeowner and told of its value every chance she got. She was a "Q uaker Road, Village M om " . When she spoke you listened and heeded the "Pearls of W isdom 77. When she called you came, if she said leave, you left. If ever she gave you "The Eye77, you knew to " straighten up and fly right77 or the results would not ke in your favor.

Be it a distance of one mile or a thousand miles, when her presence and or service was needed or requested, she showed up on time with her millionaire sm ile... Always ready to serve humbly. Although she never learned to drive or possessed a drivers license, she always K N E W G O D had a chauffer who loved driving her and / or her relatives and friends to and from their destinations.

F o r protection, guidance, wisdom, for tkings seen and unseen. Ske prayed for peace in mans keart. Sk e prayed tkat God would give ker tke strengtk to love and do H is will everytime, all tke time, so ker living would not ke in vain.
Because ske knew tkat it was not ker motker, fatker, sister, nor krotker, ker ckildren nor ker neigkkors, not tke world, kut it was
ske wko stood in tke need of ker prayers. But ker greatest G IFT was ker Foundation. It would ke ker Steadfast, Unwavering, Dedication of ker life and kving to ke Obedient. Mrs. Willie Mae Johnson
WAYNESBORO, Ga. - Mrs. Willie Mae Johnson entered into rest on Wednesday, October 12, 2005 at Burke Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, O ctober 17, 2005 at 12 noon at Forest Hill Baptist Church, Keysville, GA. Pastor Sylvester Nabritt will officiate. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 16, 2005 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the Judd C. Hickey Alzheimer's Center, 1899 Central Ave., Augusta, GA or the Blind Citizens of Burke County, c/o Dea. Johnnie Smith, 845 Blakeney St., Waynesboro, GA 30830.
