CALVIN REGINALD JENKINS, SR. was born June 9,1954 in Augusta, Georiga to the late Mr. Frank R. Jenkins and Mrs. Ethel S. Jenkins. He accepted Christ at an early age and served as a member of the Good Hope Baptist Church, in Augusta, Georgia. Calvin Sr. never met a stranger and his effervescent personality made him the life of any party. Calvin Sr. matriculated through the Richmond County School System and was a graduate of the Glenn Hills High School Class of 1972. He loved playing football and received an athletic letter in football at Glenn Hills. Around the house, there would often be football plays written on scraps of paper. Calvin attended Paine College and later pursued a successful career in finance as a collector for Heilig Meyers and Badcock Home Furnishing stores. He went on to become an entrepreneur, opening World Collections, Inc., which he successfully operated for over twenty years. His passion for his work could be felt by all with whom he would come into contact.
Calvin Sr. loved to eat and was a phenomenal cook. He also took pride in being well-dressed each day, often seen in his signature shirt, tie, suspenders, and his infamous Ray-Ban sunglasses. Calvin Sr. entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at his residence in Thomson, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank R. Jenkins of Brooklyn, NY and his grandmother, Nella B. Mayweather of Augusta, GA. He leaves to cherish his memory: one son, Calvin Reginald Jenkins, Jr. of Augusta, GA; three daughters, Taneika R. Jenkins, of Atlanta, GA, Lakeisha C. Jenkins of Morrow, GA and Jasmine A. Jenkins of Bay Minette, AL; his mother, Ethel Mae Shelton Jenkins of Augusta, GA; three sisters, Patricia (Dr. Ehrman) Eldridge, of Columbus, GA, Nicole and Lorena Jenkins of Brooklyn, NY; two brothers, Brian Keith and Reynold Jenkins of Brooklyn, NY; and a host of other aunts, uncles, nieces, cousins and friends.

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He niaketh me to lie down in green pastures:
he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my sold:
he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley o f the shadow o f death,
I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence o f mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days o f my life: and I will dwell in the house o f the LORD forever.
The family of Calvin R. Jenkins, Sr. wishes to acknowledge and express their deepest appreciation for the many acts of love, kindness, and concern during this time. May God continue to bless and keep you! -T he Jenkins F amily
