** OBITUARY **
Dea. Frank Jenkins, the son of the late Mr. Will Robert Jenkins and Mrs. Fannie Griffin Jenkins was born in Burke County, Georgia, October 6, 1904. Departed this life on -January 6, 1981 at the University Hospital, Augusta, Georgia.
At an early age he was converted and joined the Bethlehem Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. J. H. Evnas, and rendered faithful and untiring service to the end.
He was married to Miss Marie Shedrick.
Dea. Jenkins was a dedicated servant, always ready and will ing to perform whatever service he could for the church, union, association and community. Because of his faithfulness, he was ordained and added to the board of officers in 1925 by the late Rev. J. H. Evans.
Dea. Jenkins served the church in the following capacities, chairman of the board of officers, secretary of the church, super intendent of Sunday School, president of the usher board, janitor of the church and secretary of the Spring Grove Union. Even though he was dedicated to his family, his church and community, his greatest allegience was to his God. It was this deep faith which sustained him to the end.
He leaves to cherish his memories, a wife, Mrs. Marie Jenkins, one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Bert of Brooklyn, New York; six nep hews, Mr. Willie Samuel Jenkins of Belvedere, S. C., Mr. Jessie Jenkins and Mr. Rufus Jenkins of Los Angeles, California, Mr. Andrew A. Jenkins of Augusta, Ga., Mr. Edward Martin Jenkins of Augusta, Georgia, and Mr. Issiah Smith of Bronx, N. Y.; seven nieces, Mrs. Lillian Bright, Mrs. Frances Robertson and Mrs. Clara Lucky of Brooklyn, New York, Mrs. Gegertha Eliza beth Jenkins of New York, N. Y., Mrs. Charlene Jenkins, Mrs. Bernease Arlington and Mrs. Dorothy J. Evans of Augusta, Ga.; one aunt, Mrs. Janie Griffin of Bath, S. C.; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Justine Jenkins of Bath, S. C. and Mrs. Sarah Jenkins of Augusta, Ga.; one brother-in-law, Mr. Caleb Shedrick of North Augusta, S. C. and a host of other relatives and sorrowing friends.
