Willia Mae Howard wae born on May 2 9 ,1923. She was the eldest of 15 children of Julia & fidward Wilcox in Sarasota, Florida. Always a caring a compassionate spirit she dutifully assisted with raising her siblings.

Sister Howard wae introduced to Jesus Christ a t an early age and accepted him as her Lord and Savior a t True Vine S aptist Church.
She met her husband William L. Howard in 1944,.. it was love a t firs t sight! They married and she moved to Augusta and where they were life partners for over 62 years . They both shared a life devoted to The Lord and were faithful members o f Seulah Grove S aptist Church.
She attended Paine College and received a bachelors degree in Education. She did advanced studies a t Spellman College. Her career with the Richmond County Board of Education spanned 3 0 years beginning a t Hornsby Elementary School, Jenkins & Terrace Manor Elementary Schools. She was a brilliant teacher and was a positive influence on thousands of students.
She was very active in many social and civic activities .for . many, years.-. Her : commitment t o .-her .church community is unequalled. She taught Sunday School for over 45 years and Vacation Sible School. She sang in 'th e choir for a t least 6 0 years. She was a member of ' the business & Professional Women's Mission,
Chairperson of the Golden Age Ministry, and past Director of Sible School.
She had a tremendous iove for her family. She gave unselfishly to all those in need. Her heart and home was opened to three of her nieces (whom she considered her daughters) of which she loved and adored.
Sister Howard loved to travel and was blessed to have traveled to many destinations spanning the globe. She especially enjoyed visiting her daughters in California & Germany.

God declared "You have lived a good life, you've finished your course, and now it is time to come home to receive your crown in glory!" She anewered the call on December 23, 2007 and took her final flight home, leaving those who loved her cherished memories.
Loving and lasting memories will be forever cherished by her devoted husband William, her daughters Eve Alien (Lucius) of Los Angeles, CA, JoAnne Muller (Dieter) of Germany, Beryl Mohni (Pichard) of Port Huron, Ml. Two grandchildren Geoffrey & Jared Allen, three sisters: Alma Johnson, Eva Mae Hudson, Cynthia Wilcox (all of Sarasota, FL), two brothers Earl Wilcox (Petha), John Wiicox (ail of Sarasota, FL). Three god children, Lois Hughes, Audrey Mack Fleming and tonya DuSose. A host of loving nieces & nephews, cousins and friends.
