It was am early morning breeze, God was making His rounds, when He came across the name of i^lS, SKOXflUC ^JJCTSOn ^iomsfr^. He quietly beckoned an angel to place her name on His gold printed roll.
Roxane was born May 7,1958, in Chatham County, Georgia to Mrs. Ruth Jefferson and the late Mr. Porter White.
At an early age she was baptized at the Givens Grove Missionary Baptist Church and was active in the Junior Choir.
She attended the public schools of Richmond County and was a 1976 graduate of Hephzibah High School
Roxane was united in matrimony to the late Mr. Robert Hornsby. As a young married adult she united with the Corinth Baptist Church.
She leaves to cherish her memory: six children, Santovia and Robert Hornsby, Tomika, Thomas, Roxane and Porter Leverett, all of Augusta, GA; a loving mother, Mrs. Ruth Jefferson; an adopted father/uncle, Mr. Charles Kelly; four devoted sisters, Mrs. Teresa (Willie) Andrews, Mrs. Darlene Streetman Miss Debra Jefferson and Mrs. Sherry (Darron) Elder, all of Augusta, GA; her grandmother, Mrs. Sillar Kelly; two brothers-in-law, Ronnie (Carla) Hornsby and Walter Hornsby; mother and father-in-law, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and other sorrowing friends.

Although its only been a little while it seems like a lifetime. The last time we saw you, you appeared to be fine. We never thought before we could awaken youd be gone. But, I know youre in good hands and will never be alone. You instilled in us good values, morals and taught us right from wrong. Dont you worry about a thing, God will help us to be strong. Momma we will always love and miss you.
