Obituary
Mattie Lue (Dozier) Holloway was born July 10, 1895, in Saluda, S.C., the daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Bell) Dozier.
Mattie was converted and joined the Rock Hill Baptist Church at an early age. She served as Mother of the Church faithfully until she became unable to serve.
Mattie and Zonnie Holloway were married for 64 years. To this union 11 children were born, Robert, Annie Mae, Mamie, Zonnie Abron, John Henry, Geneva, Vera, Clarence, Mattie Bell, Franklin, and Tommy Lee. Her husband and two children preceded her in death.
Mattie departed this life Sunday, March 21, 1992, in Self Memorial Hospital, Greenwood, S.C.
She leaves to cherish and emulate her memory 9 children; 3 daughters-in-law; 2 sons-in-law; 32 grandchildren; 56 great grandchildren; 45 great-great-grandchildren; and 1 great-greatgreat-grandchild; 3 sisters, Minnie Holloway, Sally Andrews, and Annie Mae Holloway; 1 sister-in-law, Edith Dozier of Columbia, S.C.; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
God saw that the road was getting rough, The hills harder to climb,
So He gently closed her loving eyes, And whispered, "Peace Be Thine. "
Sorrowfully, The Family
