Mary Elizabeth Holliman entered into eternal rest, Saturday, September 25, 2010 at University Hospital after a brief illness. She was the older of two daughters born to the late Corine Holliman, August 10, 1951.
She received early childhood education at Silas X. Floyd Elementary School, Junior and senior high school education at A.R. Johnson and Lucy C. Laney High Schools respectively.
After graduating high school in 1969, M ary enlisted in the U.S. Army. She retired from Fort Benning Army Base in 1989 as a Staff Sergeant with full military honors which include: National Defense Service Medal; Army Good Conduct Medal (6111Awrard); Overseas Service Ribbon (NUM l); Army Service Ribbon; Army Achievement Medal with tw;o Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters; and NCO Professional Development Ribbon (NUM 3). She resided in Columbus, Georgia.
M ary was skillful at "Throwing Darts"which she loved. She was a member of Steffie's D art Throw ing League of Columbus, Georgia. Her participation in many tournaments, wron may trophies, award and prestige for herself and the league.
M ary leaves to cherish her memories: a devoted sister, Bessie Holliman; two loving nieces, Chelsea Raquel Holliman and Yvette Ja'net Dunbar; two nephews and one niece whom she cherished dearly, Cederrick DeM arcus Holliman, D e'Andre Devon D unbar and Tamia Glenelle Bass; a dear friend, M argarette Turner; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
