M r. Lovey Hightower, Sr. was bom Ju ly 29, 1908 in Craw fordville, Georgia. He was the son of the late Eddie and M ary Hightower.
He lived in Augusta, Georgia for more than 40 years, and was employed by the M arbut M illin g Company for about 30 years.
A s a member of the D'Antignac Street Church of Christ, he was very active. He was the Sunday School Superintendent, Assistant M inister, and Chairm an of the Trustee Board.
Survivors includes, M rs. Ethel Brown Hightower, wife; two daughters, (Miss) Daisy L. Hightower, M ontclair, N. Jersey, and Mrs. Gloria Evans, Augusta; five sons, M r. Lovey Hightower, Jr., Augusta, PFC Eddie L. Hightower, Frankfurt, Germany, PFC Harold D. Hightower, Ft. Campbell, Kentucky, M r. Paul L. Hightower, Augusta, and M r. Rondal A. Hightower, Augusta; five grand children, all of Augusta; one brother, M r. John H igh tower; and one sister-in-law, M rs. Hattie Hightower; one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Brenda Hightower, and one son-in-law, M r. James Evans, Augusta, and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
