(J^OSCl 2 c c CW flitC was bom April 10, 1931, to Colman and Louise (Sanders) White. She was the oldest of seven children.
At an early age, she was baptized at Gardner Grove Baptist Church by Rev. Sapp, where she served on the Usher Board.
Rosa wanted to set the example of a Christian life for her younger siblings, so she dedicated her life to her family and loved ones. She was the backbone to her family in that they all looked up to her for leadership and guidance.
She was a soft spoken woman but with a whole lot of actions.
Rosa met and married Johnny Hester on September 18, 1949. To this union eight children were given. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother.
Rosa and her husband, Johnny, saw a need for a move in their life, and were led to their present location.
During the early 1960's, Rosa moved her church membership to Sharon Baptist Church. She brought all her kids up in church, teaching them to put God first in their lives. She was a member of the Sharon Baptist Church Senior Choir until her health failed.
Rosa leaves to mourn her death: four daughters, Carolyn Johnson, Rosa Pritchett, Charlotte Hester and Barbara McCants, all of Augusta, GA; four sons, Johnny Hester, Jr., Alvin Hester, Hubert James Hester and Donald Hester, all of Augusta, GA; eight grandchildren and one great-grand; one devoted sister, Annie Louise White Board; one brother, Freddie White, Sr.; two sisters-in-law, Emma Hester and Ella Lou Stokes; two brothers-in-law, Eddie Hester and Pearle Board; and a host of other relatives and sorrowing friends.
