Obituary
Mrs. Lucinda Hawes, 88, entered into rest Dec. 7, 1969, at her home in Lincolnton, Georgia.
She was the widow of the late Dea. Robert Hawes. She was a native of Lincoln County, and lived her entire life here in Lin colnton, Georgia.
She was a member of the New Tabernacle Baptist Church, where she joined at an early age.
She was also a member of the Good Samaritan Lodge. Survivors are: Three daughters, Mrs. Annie B. Walton, Mrs. Tilla Norman, both of Lincolnton, Georgia and Mrs. Susie M. Norman of Greenville, South Carolina. Two brothers, Mr. Anderson Oliver, of Washington, Geor gia, and Mr. Nathan Wright of Lincolnton, Ga. Two sisters, Mrs. Rebecca Venson, and Mrs. Katie Martin of Chicago, 111. Thirteen grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.

Trulight and evening bell, And after that the dark!
And may there be no sadness of farewell When I embark;
For though from out our bourne of time and place.
The flood may bear me Far I hope to see my pilot
Face to face when I have ..: cross the bar.
