Marty Howard Hardy was born in Brooklyn, New York on May 04, 1969. Marty was born the youngest o f seven unto Mr. Johnny Howard Hardy and Estella Hardy. During his childhood, Marty loved trips to Coney Island, snowy winters, and playing Scully on the streets.
His parents moved from New York to Augusta, Georgia in 1979. In 1987, Marty earned his high school diplom a from the Academy o f Richmond County. There, Marty shined proudly during his service in the ROTC program where he was a dedicated m em ber o f the award winning and nationally recognized Drill Team.
Upon completion o f high school, Marty joined the U.S. Army in 1988 where he served three years specializing in Communications.
Throughout his childhood and adolescence, Marty enjoyedfishing, hunting and gardening with hisfather. Marty cherished the time spent with his mother. The honor o f having a mother and father in his raising was what M any valued the most.
Marty was a "jack o f all trades". He worked many jobs from Bingo halls to retail to construction to truck driving including thefield o f home improvement.
Duringfootball season, you could alwaysfin d Marty watching his beloved Dallas Cowboys.
Marty was known fo r his sense o f humor. He could coax a smile and a laugh out o f anyone.
Martyfought many health challenges in his life which God blessed him to overcome and to pursue the joys o f life. In his later years o f life, God gave Marty the desire o f his heart...a good woman. First an acquaintance o f which soon became a friend who later became the love o f his life and wife, Celeste (known to Marty as "Kitten"). A romantic gentleman who bestowed dozens o f differentfragrant colorful roses, cards, and acts o f chivalry upon her. Escorting and opening doors fo r her was habitual which earned Marty handshakes from men on the street.
He leaves to cherish his memory: a devoted and loving wife, Celeste Hardy. Marty is survived by his son Marty Hardy Jr. and wife, Lashawndria Hardy; his daughter, Ashley Michelle Hardy and his step daughter, Erica Benjamin and husband, Patrick Benjamin. Three granddaughters and five grandsons. Two sisters: Lisa Sims and Lori Hardy Jordan and husband, Dennis Jordan. Two brothers: Mark Hardy and Marion Gardenhire and wife, Mamie Gardenhire. A host o f nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Pastor Jamaal Wilcher serves as the Senior Pastor/Teacher of the Moses Missionary Baptist Church of Augusta, Georgia. Prior to beginning his assignment at Moses, he pastored the Old Bethel Baptist Church in Bartow, Georgia for approximately 6 years.
A native of Sandersville, Georgia, Pastor Wilcher attended Columbus State University in Columbus, Georgia, where he graduated with a Bachelors of Music in Music Education in December 2011. Following, he pursued a Masters of Music in Music Education from the University of Florida and graduate in August 2016. He is employed by the Washington County Board of Education as a music educator and is currently pursuing a Specialist in Educational Leadership from Columbus State University in Columbus, Georgia.
Pastor Wilcher was licensed into the Gospel ministry on July 31, 2005 and ordained on October 29, 2006 at the Sand Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Wrightsville, Georgia under the leadership of Reverend Jerry Walden. He has committed to leading with integrity and empowering men and women with the tools to strengthen their discipleship, build their capacity, and live out their purpose.
God has anointed Pastor Wilcher with an apostolic anointing to build systems, strengthen church infrastructure through methodologies, and train and build church leaders. His anointing commands the church to remain on the cutting edge of church innovativeness while maintaining integrity to Biblical truths and principles. Those who encounter his personable, simplistic style of teaching often experience shifts in paradigms as minds are transformed and renewed, and Kingdom advancers are released.
God is continuing to favor Pastor Wilcher by allowing explosive growth and increase to follow his ministry. While serving at his first pastorate commencing at age 21, God allowed him to employ methodologies to strengthen the church's infrastructure, train and develop leaders, and increase the bottomline. At age 27, God transitioned Pastor Wilcher to the Moses Missionary Baptist Church in Augusta, Georgia. In just a short time, God has allowed Pastor Wilcher to cast vision and sound a cadence that is empowering the church to march to new levels. In a short time, the church has grown in members and in stewardship. He is declaring "the best is yet to come!"
With his unique charismatic, yet insightful and practical preaching style, Pastor Wilcher is impacting the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. His life's mission is to empower people. He often says "if you build a big person, big people will build a big church."
