Perhaps you sent a lovely card or sat quietly in a chair, perhaps you sent a floral piece, if so we saw it there. Perhaps you spoke the kindest words as any friend could say, perhaps you were not there at all, just thought of us each day. Perhaps you prepared a tasty dish
or maybe furnished a car, perhaps you rendered a service unseen, near a hand or from afar. Whatever you did to console our hearts, by words, deed or touch; whatever was the

five children born to Mariah Jones on May 23, 1970 in Jacksonville, FI.

Jasmine was educated in the Richmond County School System where she attended W. S. Hornsby Elementary School, East Augusta Middle School, and Lucy C. Laney Comprehensive High School for two years. She graduated in 1988 from Glemi Hills Comprehensive High School. After graduating from high school, Jasmine entered a career path in the health professions. In 2005, Jasmine graduated from Augusta Technical College earning a Health Care Assistant Certification. In addition to graduating from Augusta Tech, she received a certificate in Hemdialysis in 2006, as well as a certificate in Phlebotomy. Jasmine had a zest for education and at the time of her death, she was a full-time student at the University of Phoenix seeking a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, where she was just two classes from her degree. Jasmine was employed at the Children Medical College of Georgia and Sibor Manor as a Personal Care Technician.

At an early age, Jasmine accepted Christ as her personal Lord and Savior. She was an active member of Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church, where she faithfully served on the Usher Board and was also a Deaconess and a greeter.

Jasmine planted her feet in many things and, she put her heart in it. Whatever she did and whatever she committed herself to, she did it with class, dignity, dedication, and she did it with "Jazz". As we take time today to say good bye to one of God's greatest gifts and true faithful servants, it behooves us to reflect proudly upon her legacy and contributions to her community. She loved giving back to her community and doing great things for other people. "Jazz" made a great impact on other's lives. She was one of the founding members of the Five Star Women Social Club. Jasmine volunteered and gave her time to various charities as the Master's Table Soup Kitchen, A Spice of Life Personal Care Home, A & A Personal Care Home, the M. S. Walk, the Buddy Walk for Down Syndrome Awareness, the Breast Cancer Walk, and the Salvation Army's Angel Tree just to name a few. God blessed her life and she wanted to bless the lives of others too.

On September 20, 1997, Jasmine married Rufus Hankerson. They have been soul mates for 20 years, and they planted a beautiful family. To their union, five children were bom. Jasmine was preceded in death by a son, Rakeem Hankerson on July 6, 1995. Each of their children was raised with values and commitment to family, church, education, and community. Jasmine's children were the joys of her life and dominated her conversations. Not only was Jasmine a faithful and dedicated wife, but was an active and involved mother who put special activities and the needs of her family first.

On May 23, 2011, Jasmine was celebrating her birthday with her husband when God decided it was time to add another beautiful rose in his garden. Jasmine took her place in heaven as another one of God's angels on May 24, 2011. She leaves to cherish her everlasting memories: a devoted husband, Rufus Hankerson, Augusta, GA; four daughters, Jasaquona Smith, Tymesha Hankerson, Rudesha Hankerson, and Quantae Hankerson, all of Augusta, GA; a grandson, Cardell Rakeem Hankerson, Augusta, GA; a faithful mother, Mariah Jones, Ft. White, FL; a twin brother, Christopher (Kimberly) Williams, Ft. Hood, TX; three sisters, Audrey Craig and Audrena Craig, both of Gainesville, FL; and Charmaine Holmes, Jacksonville, FL; four brothers-in-law, George Hankerson, James Hankerson, Willie L. Hankerson, and Willie Sims all of Augusta, GA; a sister-in-law, Darlene Showers of Jacksonville, FL; two aunts, Annie Thompson, Washington, DC; and Mary Clarke, Augusta, GA; three uncles, Henry Jones and Eliva Mann, both of Ft. Myers, FL; and Weatherspoon Grier, Ft. White, FL; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
