On Saturday afternoon, May 7, 2005, our Lord and Savior, plucked another flower from His precious garden. MRS. LAFORNE WASHINQTON HAMP ceased her life on earth May 7, 2005, at her residence.
LaForne was born on November 22, 1951, to the late Deacon Columbus Washington, Sr. and the late Emma Moody Washing' ton.
LaForne accepted Christ at the age of 12 years old and was bap' tized at the Hale Street Baptist Church by Reverend E.A. Brown, Pastor. She later moved her membership to Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, where she served until her illness.
She was united in Holy Matrimony to her devoted and caring husband, Mr. Albert W. Hamp on October 4, 1995, after 17 years of togetherness.

attained her highest level of education on April 2, 1992, when

r e h Institute. She passed state boards and became a Licensed
Practical Nurse (LPN).
LaForne was employed by Georgia War Veterans Nursing Home, where she was recognized as a Stellar Employee. She was well liked by her fellow co-workers and earned great respect from the patients. Her illness caused her to retire on disability.
LaForne is survived by: a loving, devoted and caring husband, Albert W. Hamp; two loving sisters, Jeannette Wade of Augusta, Georgia and Barbara (Clifford) Utley of Bowie, Maryland; one sister-in-law, Geneva (Donald) Washington; preceding her in death was three brothers, Columbus Jr., Thomas and Donald; four stepchildren, LaVerta (Harvey) Elam, Lois (Isaiah) Trumpler, her angel, Charles (Barbara) Hamp, Terry (Willie) Simpkins; aunts, uncles, nieces and cousins; a godsister; and many sorrowing and devoted friends.
