Obituary
LIFE:
Anthony Rodney Grant, son of the late Willie Grant Jr. and Dorothy B. Grant, was bom on February 15,1965 in Orangeburg, South Carolina. He entered into eternal rest on June 11, 2010 at 9:45am after a brief illness.
EDUCATION:
Anthony was a graduate of Felton Laboratory School, Class o f 1978, OrangeburgWilkinson High School, Class of 1982, and South Carolina State University, Class of 1986. He received his MBA from Nova Southeastern University in 1997.
CHURCH:
He accepted Christ at an early age and joined Williams Chapel A.M. E. in Orangeburg, SC. Upon relocating to the CSRA, Anthony became a faithful member of Beulah Grove Baptist Church, Augusta, Ga. He was a past treasurer of the Beulah Grove Inspirational Choir and a founding member of the Beulah Grove Singles Ministry.
ALUMNI:
A loyal son of South Carolina State University, Anthony was an avid fan of Bulldog football and the Marching 101! He financially supported the university in various ways, one of which is through the Educational Foundation. He was a very active and supporting alumnus and served in various capacities. A few are:

Audit Committee Chairman, Technology Committee Chairman
Augusta Alumni Chapter of South Carolina State University Treasurer, Financial Secretary, Membership Committee Chairman, Planning Committee Member for the 2010 National Alumni Convention

PROFESSIONAL: His professional career began in 1986 with SCE&G in Columbia, SC. He continued his multi-faceted career with over 19 years o f service at the Savannah River Site. He was Manager, Contracts, Capital, & Travel Accounting since June 1998 with Savannah River Nuclear Solution (SRNS) until his death.
CIVIC AFFILIATION: Anthony served as a volunteer for the SRP Federal Credit Union: Credit Committee 1993 - 1998; Board o f Directors 1998 - 2010, Finance Committee 1998- 2010, and a member of African-American Credit Union Coalition (AACUC CU) 2000-2010.
FAMILY: He leaves to cherish his memory his brother, Jimmy L. Grant o f Alexandria, VA.; his beloved cousin and dedicated caregiver, Erica Pennye Bowman Dale of Columbia, SC; his grandmother, Mrs. Eartha Mae Grant o f Orangeburg, SC; aunts, Juanita Grant and Helen Hubbard of Orangeburg, SC and Mary Lou Haynes of Bronx, NY, an uncle, John H. Grant o f Orangeburg, SC and a host of close relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
