A GOLDEN LIFE (To be read silently)
Thomas Edward Golden, born in Augusta, Georgia was destined to have a good life; for, he made up his mind many years ago that Jesus was going to be his choice for life. Because of that acknowledgement, he was led to be united into Holy Matrimony with Elizabeth McCrone. To that union one daughter was born, Aundra. Thomas Edward Goldens love for Christ spreaded to his wife and daughter thus creating a Christian family who also decided to make Jesus their choice.
Deacon Golden was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church for over forty years. Deacon Golden was a member of the following: Deacon Board ministry, Church School faculty and Club #3. He served faithfully in the capacity of church treasurer for a number of years.
He leaves to cherish his memory a devoted wife, Elizabeth M. Golden; a devoted daughter, Aundra G. Clark; one grandson, Thomas L. Clark, Jr.; four sisters, Octavia Davenport and Beulah Bell Bagly both of Philadelphia, Pa., Willie Mae Green, Alice Humphrey and Elizabeth Phinizy all of New York; two brothers, Marion Tappan, Cleveland, Ohio, Fred Tappan, Washington, D.C.; one son-in-law, Thomas L.
