Obituary
He was a tower of strength and example of the commandments of God. Love Thy Neighbor As Thy Self.
He was always reaching to help and was admired for his admirable
personality; and had a Christlike word for those who would listen.
Mr. Willie (Bill) Gilchrist entered into eternal rest March 10,1995 at University Hospital.
He was the son of the late John and Hassie Gilchrist. He was born June 15, 1911. At an early age he was baptized at McElmurray Spring Branch Church.
He leaves to mourn: a loving wife, Mrs. Agnes Gilchrist; four children, Miller Gilchrist, Waynesboro, Georgia. Thelma Robinson, Augusta, Ga.; Evelyn Lee, Boston, Mass; Willie Mae Gilchrist, Providence, Rhode Island. One daughter-in-law; Evelyn Gilchrist, one son-in-law; John Henry Lee. One sister, Mrs. Carrie Johnson, one brother-in-law Anderson Johnson, one sister-in-law, Hazlee Gilchrist. Nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
