A time to be Born...
Oregon was born May 15th, 1937, in Augusta, Georgia to the late Mary and Theadore Harris. She was an only child with a host of close cousins.
A time to Learn...
A 1956 Graduate of Lucy C. Laney High School and a 1985 graduate of College of New Rochelle in New York. Dedicated to helping children reach their highest endeavors both in society and education.
A time to Serve...
Oregon was baptized at Summerville Baptist Church in Augusta, Georgia. In New York, she was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church, Rev. Charles W. Mixon, Pastor. And the ever-so-loved Deliverance Baptist Church, Rev. Darryl C. Fennell, Pastor.
A time to Love...
Oregon and Ashley "Stanley" Gibson spent fifty-three years of wedded bliss-loving and making each other happy. The years they shared together bore witness to the dedication of the love they had for each other. They were blessed with four boys, Ashley, Aaron, Reginald, and Jason. TWo loving daughters, Felicia and Alesicia. Her children graced her with nine beautiful grandchildren, out of which came two great-grandchildren.
A time to Die...
On Sunday, December 5th, 2010, Oregon made the transition from this life to the presence of God's domain. She leaves memories that will be forever cherished in the hearts of her loved ones: loving husband, Stanley; sons, Ashley, Aaron, Reginald and Jason; daughters, Felicia and Alesicia; daughter-in-law, Lori Gibson; grandchildren, Nastassia, Tdmara, Corey, Cyrielle, Denzel, Quinton, Justin, Erin and Lauren; sisters-in-law, Florette and Cynthia; brother-in-law; Rocky; cousins, Evelyn, Vera, Anne, Doreathea, Georgette and countless others.
She was preceded in death by: her father, Theadore Harris; mother, Mary McAlpin; and granddaughter, Jaelyn Gibson.
