Obituary
On Thursday, July 22,1993 at 10:47 p.m., M r. W illie Germany entered into eternal rest at the University Hospital after an extended illness.
Mr. Germany was born June 9,1917 in Columbia County, Georgia to the late Mrs. Hattie Tutt Germany and the late Mr. James Germany, Sr.
Mr. Germany's education was in the public schools o f Columbia County.
On July 14, 1968, he was united in Holy Matrimony to Ms. Lucille J. Campbell. For 25 years he was a husband, father and provider for his family.
At an early age he was converted and baptized at the Solid Rock Baptist Church in Columbia County, under the leadership o f Rev. S. A. Jennings. He later united under Christian Experience with Good Hope Baptist Church, Augusta, Georgia under the leadership of Rev. T . C. Cooke, where he was a member and served as T reasurer o f the Usher Board and was appointed to the Trustee Board. In later years, Mr. Germany reunited with his home church, Solid Rock, where he was ordained to the Deacon Board.
Mr. Germany was a retired building-masonry contractor. He was a member o f the Brick Layers and Allied Craftsman's Union and Local #2 o f Georgia.
He leaves to mourn his passing, a loving wife, Mrs. Lucille C. Germany; son, M r. W illie Edward Germany; two stepsons, M r. W illiam Campbell, Jr. and M r. Carl E. Campbell; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Annie E. Jones and Ms. Debra J. Campbell; one brother, M r. Ervin Germany, Brooklyn, N .Y .; six sisters-in-law, Ms. Carrie M. Germany and Mrs. Ruby Germany both o f Brooklyn, N .Y ., Mrs. Thomasine Drumgoole, Mrs. Lula Jones, Mrs. Leontine Johnson and Ms. Bernice LeGrande all o f Augusta, Ga.; three brothers-in-law, M r. Jackson Drumgoole, M r. James Jones and M r. Arthur Johnson all o f Augusta, Ga.; three step-grandsons, Mr. James Germany, Rodney J. Campbell and Brandon J. Campbell; two granddaughters, Ms. Renee Germany and Ms. Charlotte Germany; a devoted cousin, Ms. Carrie Bell W illiams; five great-grandchildren, and a host o f nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
