OBITUARY
Mr. Beverly Garrick, Sr. of 1900 Pennsylvania Avenue, Columbia, South Carolina, died suddenly at his home on March 8, 1977.
Mr. Garrick was born in Gadsden, S.C., to the late Mr. and Mrs. Beverly Garrick. He was baptized and became a member of St. Mark Baptist Church during his childhood.
Formerly, he was employed by Claussen Bakery over a span of 19 years. Before his illness, he was employed by the Southern Plastic Company of West Columbia, S.C.
He is survived by: his wife, Mrs. Lillie M. Garrick, a son, Beverly Garrick, Jr. of Columbia, S.C., two daughters, Mrs. Lucille Gaither of Durham, N.C. and Mrs. Bettye G. Byrd of Hampton, Va., one daughter-in-law, Madrian Garrick, two sons-in-law, James Gaither and Henry Byrd, three sisters, Mrs. Martha Moore and Carrie Shivar both of Gadsden, S.C., and Mrs. Dorcas Brown of Columbia, S.C. four bro thers, Messrs Doctor, Jacob, Joseph, and Roosevelt Garrick, all of Gadsden, S.C., one aunt, one uncle, five grandchildren, eleven sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law and a host of other relatives and friends.
There 's an open gate at the end of the road3 Through which each must go alone3 And there is a light we cannot see3 Our Father claims His own!
Beyone the gate your loved one3 Find happiness and rest3 And there is comfort in the thought That a loving God knows best!
