** OBITUARY **
Sgt. Retired Norman Garrett was bom June 14, 1924 in Edgefield County, S. C. He was the son of Mr. Willie Garrett and Mrs. Reavia McKie Garrett.
In his early youth he was converted and baptized and joined the Old Piney Grove Baptist Church.
Mr. Garrett was drafted in the Arm Force in 1945. He ser ved 20 years. He retired from the Army as a Master Sgt.
Sgt. Garrett entered into rest at the Navy Hospital in Phila delphia, Pa., December 11, 1977 after an extended illness.
He leaves to mourn his passing, three sons, Craig Garrett, Kirby Garrett and Norman Garrett, Jr.; mother, Mrs. Reavia McKie Garrett, father, Mr. Willie Garrett; five brothers, Mr. Blamie Garrett, Brooklyn, N. Y., Roosevelt Garrett, Hayetteville, MD., Moses Garrett, Izeal Garrett and Wallace Garrett, North Augusta, S. C.; six sisters, Miss Mamie Garrett, North Augusta, S. C., Mrs. Lillie Mae Harris, Mrs. Florence Madison and Miss Estella Garrett, Phila., Pa., Mrs. Rosa Lee Singleton, San Antino, Texas, Mrs. Pearlie Love, Hephzibah, Ga.; five sisters-in-law; four brothers-in-law; eight aunts, Mrs. Betty Garrett, Mrs. Glady Mc Kie, Mrs. Hattie Kenner, Mrs. Mildred Johnson, Mrs. Ardosher Gowdy, Mrs. Alzater Gowdy, Mrs. Juanita Mims and Mrs. Mattie Garrett; one great aunt, Mrs. Henryetta McCain; three uncles, Rev. J. E. Garrett, Dea. Robert Garrett and Mr. Joseph McKie; a host of other relatives and friends.
