** O B I T U A R Y **
Hattie Gardner the daughter o f the late Mr. and Mrs. Mary and James Thomas was bom April 13th 1900 in Clarkshill, S. C. where she was raised.
She married the late Joseph Gardner also o f Clarkshill, S. C. They moved to Augusta, Georgia in 1918.
She was converted at an early age and baptized. She was a member o f Galilee Baptist Church which she served most faithfully until ill health intervened.
She possessed a pleasing personality and was loved by all who knew her, for truly to know her was to love her. She held on to her intergrity and strong faith until the sad and shocking end came last Sunday, February 7th 1982.
Survivors: three daughters, Mrs. Maude Bradshaw o f Chica go, 111., Mrs. Louise Donaldson o f Phila., Pa., and Ms. Carrie Gard ner o f Phila., Pa., o f whom she was residing at the time o f her de mise, one son, Joe Gardner o f Chicago, 111., one brother, Mr. Ed Ramsey o f Augusta; one devoted niece, Mrs. Georgene Powell o f Augusta; one nephew, Mr. Joe Ramsey o f Augusta; eight grand children; nine great grandchildren; and a host o f other relatives and friends.
