RALPH E. GADSDEN was born August 24,1925 to the late Mary Heyward and Frank Gadsden of Savannah, Georgia. He was married to Sammie L. Johnson Gadsden who preceded him in death (1979).
Ralph attended elementary and high school in Savannah, Georgia. After matriculating two years at Savannah State College, he completed several years of service in the United States Navy with an Honorable discharge.
Ralph also retired as a food service worker from Fort Gordon.
Ralph was aloyal and dedicated member of Christ Presbyterian Church, USA where he served faithfully as an Elder, Church Treasurer and sang on the Male Chorus. He also regularly attended Bible Study classes and Sunday School.
"Uncle Ralph" as he was affectionately called by close relatives leaves to cherish his memories: a loving niece, Alethia Gadsden Truesdale, Savannah, Georgia; favorite niece, Melrose Bennefield, Augusta, Georgia; god-son, Adam Nathaniel Butler, Augusta, Georgia; and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Life'sfleeting days will soon be o'er When death ends all that's gone before;
Yet life in Christ continues still, For all who lived to do His will.
Death is the last chapter o f time, But thefirst chapter of Eternity

TWENTY THIRD PSALM
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of
Righteousnessfor his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow o f death,
I willfear no evil: for thou art with me; Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me In the presence of mine enemies: Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shallfollow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORDfor ever.
