HOMEGOING CELEBRATION for
Viola Gunby Fouch
Mrs. Viola Gunby Fouch was born November 7,1907 to the late Shellie and Carrie Reed Gunby in Lincoln County, Georgia. Her life ended suddenly March 1,1992 at Southwest Hospital in Atlanta. She was married to Robert Trick" Fouch. This union produced two sons, Williams and Herman "Big Boy" who preceded her in death.
At an early age she joined the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Lincoln County, but later moved to Atlanta where she united with Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. She was a faithful member.
She was fondly called "Aunt Sister" by relatives and non relatives alike. Her humble but generous spirit made her loved by all who knew her. She will always be remembered for her devotion to her family and for her wonderful cooking. Left to mourn her passing is her devoted husband; one brother, Cordy Gunby of Johnstown, PA.; four sisters, Mrs. Doris Fouch of Hartwell, Georgia, Mrs. Myrtice Wright of Athens, Georgia, Mrs. Bernice Hunt and Mrs. Lucille Blackwell both of Detroit, Michigan; one grandchild; two great grandchildren; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
We thank God for the quality of life He permitted her, and for the love and longevity He allowed her.
POEM
Our love one Yes it is true We lost a love one But Godknows best It is hard to except it. But we have the memories And all the time spent Through there is a empty space Justremeber God will take theplace.
