You may wonder why I went away and didn't say goodbye I couldn't bear to tell you for it hurts me, when you cry My ship came in the morning, and beautiful to see For the Captain was King Jesus, and He beckoned to me I ran across the leeway, and fell down at His feet He gently took me in His arms, my rest is now complete
