First ShiLoh Baptist Church Rev. Willie L James, Officiating
-Obituary-
Into another ofour Christian homes death has again entered, with his unrelmtingface, his unhearing ears, his sealed lips. Again a family has gone close to the -valley ofthe shadows and kft a loved one there, they - to turn back to the earth, life desolate, burdened, heart broken and the deceased to step into the heaven oflife, where there is no more death, neither sorrow nor crying nor pain. Surely we cannot grieve for our dear Brother Fred Forrest, who was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday evening. It isfor ourselves we mourn, forgetting perhaps in our selfish sorrow that "it is well" with our beloved in that better place.
Fred was born in Charleston, SC on January 10,1944 to the late Freddie and Virginia Forrest. He received his education in Richmond County Georgia. He was converted and baptized at First Shiloh Baptist Church under the pastorate ofthe late Rev. William C. Anderson. He married theformerJames Lee Walton and to this unionfive children were born. On June 10,1978 he married the former Nellie R. Shelton. After 15 years ofservice, Fred retiredfrom E-2 Go Textron. He leaves to mourn his passing; a very devoted wife, Nellie Forrest. Four sons, Reginald Forrest, Timothy (Yvonne) Forrest, Keith (Sharon) Forrest and Michael Shelton. Two daughters, Sharon Forrest and LaTonya Forrest. Twelve grandchildren. One loving brother, Jerome (Vernyce) Forrest. A devoted cousin, Charles (Joyce) Ferguson, Philadelphia, PA. A host ofAunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and other relatives andfriends.

Don t grieve for me, for now Im free, Im following the path God has laidfor me. I took His hand when I heard Him call, I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day, to laugh, to love, to work or play, tasks left undone must stay that way, Ifound peace at the end ofthe day. If my parting has left a void, then fill it with remembered joys. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, oh yes, these things I too will miss. Be not burdened with times ofsorrow, I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow, my lifes been full, I savored much, good friends, good times, a loved ones touch. Perhaps my time seemed all too brief, don t lengthen it now with undue grief, lift up your hearts, and share with me, God wanted me
NOW, He has set me fee.
Thefamily ofthe late Fred Forrest, is most gratefulfor all deeds, words ofkindness and comfort shown during the illness and passing
ofour loved one. We thank Godforfriends who care enough to share in our grief. May God continue to keep you doing His will.
