** OBITUARY**

Mr. Joseph Fields, Jr. and Mrs. Marie Fields
Mr. Fields the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Fields, Sr. departed his life June 22, 1979 in the University Hospital and Mrs. Marie Fields, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Williams Byrd, Sr. departed tiiis life June 23, 1979 in the University Hos pital.

They were natives of Beech Island, S. C. but lived most of their lives in Augusta.

Mr. Fields was a veteran of World War I, a member of Walter Jackson Post 3887 V. F. W. and Mrs. Fields was a member of the Golden Leaf Court Heroines of Jericho FAAY Masons. Mr. Fields was past Chaplin of Post 3887 V. F. W. They were faith ful members of Thankful Baptist Church and served in many auxiliaries of the church.

Survivors of Mr. Fields are; one nephew, Mr. Willie Byrd, Jr., Washington, D. C.; one sister, Mrs. Anna Lou Johnson, Augu sta; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Elnora Beals, Beech Island, S. C.; one brother-in-law, Mr. Willis Beals, Beech Island, S. C.

Survivors of Mrs. Fields are; one nephew, Mr. Willie Byrd, Jr., Washington, D. C.; one sister, Mrs. Elnora Beals, Beech Island, S. C.; one brother-in-law, Mr. Willis Beals, Beech Island, S. C.; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Anna Lou Johnson, Augusta.

They both leave a host of nieces, nephews, Godchildren,

other relatives and friends.
