** OBITUARY **

On October 20, 1981 Mrs. Fredricka Smalley Evans departed this life to rest eternally in a home prepared many years ago.

She was born May 22nd, 1909 in Lincolnton, Georgia to the late John and Francis Garnett Smalley.

At an early age she was converted and baptized at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Lincolnton, Georgia by Rev. G. W. Harrison. She later moved to Columbia County and joined Gospel Water Branch Church where she served until departure of this life.

She attended school in Lincolnton County. She was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Sam W. Evans. To this union two children were born, Mr. John M. Evans, of Los Angeles, Calif., and the late Mrs. Patricia A. Kearney.

She contributed her services to many churches, clubs, and various organizations. The Freddie Evans Ensemble Choir was formed in her honor.

She was a talented Gospel Singer, and throughout the years

she used the talent that God gave her by bringing joy to the hearts

of many people as she sang Gods praises. The melodious voice

will be missed.
