M rs. M agnolia D ent Edwards, a native o f Augusta, GA was born in C olum bia County, GA on October 8, 1932 to Vio lent D ent a nd E m m anuel D ent, Sr. She was preceded in death by her husband SEC Lyria Edwards o f the U nited States Arm y (Retired).
H er C hristian w alk began a t an early age. She was a bap tized Believer and Servant o f the Lord. She was a loyal and devoted member in good standing o f the Springfield B a p tist Church where she served fa ith fu lly as a m ember o f the Gospel Chorus (Vice President & Secretary) and the Deaconess M inistry.
She received her education and graduated from the Im m ac ulate Conception Academy. She fu rth ered her education in the fie ld o f Cosmetology. Professionally, she was a licensed cosmetologist and retired after fo rty plus years o f dedicated service.
She leaves to m ourn a n d continue her legacy her two cher ished sons, R everend L e m o n t (Jeanette) C. M onroe, Sr. o f Augusta, GA and Barry (Sharon) M. Turner, Sr. o f Lexing ton, KY; one loving sister Ophelia W alker o f Brooklyn, N Y; three g ra n d ch ild ren , L e m o n t (D o n n a ) C. M onroe, J r ., B a r ry M . turner, Jr., a n d A n th o n y L. M onroe; her loving a n d devoted caregiver Carol Butler, and a host o f nieces, neph ews, a n d close frien d s.
